Today's blog post is going to be about all things Alice in Wonderland related. If you can't already tell (or seen me on Snapchat: Katierabmakeup) how OBSESSED I am with Alice in Wonderland it will certainly be clear by the end of this post! :)
When Urban Decay announced they were coming out with a limited edition palette to coincide with the new Disney film I immediately started doing my research, posting to Facebook and when the first press images were released I knew I would have to get it!
About the Palette...
Urban Decay have done it again in creating a stunning palette suitable for every makeup junkie out there. Whether you like bright, bold colours, natural nudes or sultry smokey eyes you will find shades in this palette that you will fall in love with. It has a mixture of Mattes, Satins and Frosts that are super pigmented and blendable.
One of my favourite things about this palette is the great shade range. From bright blues and greens to soft browns and golds, you can create a lot of different looks with this one palette.
Can we just all take a moment and take in this STUNNING packaging. Again, if you are like me and know your 'Alice' quotes you will love when you open the lid on this palette. Immediately you are greeted with a sizable mirror which has the quote 'We're all mad here' and if that wasn't enough one of my favourite quotes is on display which reads ' I'm not strange, weird, off nor crazy, my reality is just different from yours'. If that wasn't enough underneath the quote hides a beautiful blue butterfly. Urban Decay pulled out all the stops and did not disappoint.
Onto the Shades...
Enough of me obsessing, I could go on all day. Let's talk about what you came for - the eyeshadows :) And how pretty they are...
This palette comes with 20 ALL NEW urban decay shades in a variety of colours and finishes. It also comes with a double ended eye brush. There are 4 matte shades, 5 micro sparkles, 5 pearl/satins, 6 shimmer/metallic shades. They are super creamy and blend like a dream.
I really do like this palette and will get lots of use out of it. It is limited edition and retails for €49 (average €2.50 per eyeshadow) so it is good value considering. It is available from Debenhams.ie or in store.
I do hope you enjoyed reading. What are your thoughts on the palette?
Until next time,
