In today's blog I'm going to give you a quick run down of the top 3 eye shadow palettes I used.
1. Tarlette Palette by Tarte Cosmetics
Just before taking photos for this blog I let this palette drop and as you can see the black took a hit. A heart wrenching moment! However, all was not lost and since buying this palette I have reached for it any time I have done my makeup. It is a palette of completely matte shades, all warm toned, that are creamy and not at all chalky like most mattes tend to be. A staple in any eye look I do.
2. Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette
Aside from the fact that this palette legit smells like chocolate and every time I open it I want to eat it (No Joke!) it is a great palette that can be used to create every day looks or dramatic dark smokey eyes. A great range of colours with great pigmentation - a little goes a long way with this palette. It is available from Debenhams for €44.
3. Urban Decay Naked Smokey Palette
You'd think after 3 palettes in the Naked Collection, Urban Decay couldn't create another palette that would compare to the previous ones... Then Naked Smokey came along. I LOVE this palette. At first I was hesitant to purchase this as I had the other three and thought realistically I don't need it. That was until I viewed it in person.
Like all the Urban Decay shadows they are extremely pigmented with just the right amount of sparkle. Unlike previous palettes in this range there are four matte shades. The rest are a great mix of greys and golds which (as the name suggests) create the ultimate smokey eye. I use this palette for evening and night time makeup when you can go a little more dramatic and sultry. Urban decay can also be purchased in Debenhams
Have any of you used any of these palettes? What are your thoughts? All three palettes are constantly reached for and with the colours you can create so many different looks.
Hope you enjoyed reading this blog.
Until next time,
