After weeks and months of waiting and seeing images and press releases everywhere the Gwen Stefani Palette from Urban Decay is finally available for purchase.
The moment I saw the image of this palette I knew I had to have it!
All the colours were hand picked by Gwen herself and the names are in some way related to Gwen's life with names like Harajuku and Anaheim. The colours are mostly natural shades of beige and brown. You have the pink, gold and blue to add the pop of colour. So pigmented, so beautiful.
The eye shadows themselves are the best I've seen from Urban Decay to date! They are all so buttery and easy to blend with very little fallout. If you've own any of the Naked palettes you know what the fallout is like! I am seriously impressed with the job they've done.
The packaging is stunning. It comes in a beautiful gold cause with black dots layered on a white background. Very elegant with just enough edge like Gwen herself.
There are 15 shades in a variety of matte, satin and shimmers. Below I have a brief description and swatches of the shades
Blonde - This is a gorgeous highlight colour. A soft beige with a slight oink undertone.
Bathwater -A subtle gold pearl colour with just the right amount of sparkle.
Skimp - A satin shade in a nude colour. This would be a great transition colour for any eye look.
Steady - One of my favourite colours in this palette. Rose with gold shimmer. It is simple stunning!
Punk - The first matte shade, a brown with a red undertone.
Baby - Baby is a cool metallic gold.
Anaheim - Another matte shade in a slightly taupe colour.
Stark - Stark is a is a pink tone on the nuder slide. super nice crease colour.
Zone - A warm brown matte shade. I can see myself getting a lot of use out of this shade.
Serious - This is a strange colour as it looks matte in the swatch but in person it has soft pearl reflects.
Pop - This colour is slightly chunkier with a small amount of fallout when I swatched it. However, it is a beautiful coral and would look great with tanned skin.
Harajuku - The funnest shade in the palette is a bright pink shimmer. I love this shade as it's just the right amount of colour. Not to dull and not too bright!
Danger - A stunning navy blue with a hint of sliver sparkle throughout. Really nice shade.
1987 - This is a highly pigmented yellow/gold colour.
Blackout - Holy Moly! This is the most pigmented black I have seen to date! It is completely matte and super easy to blend. An incredible black!
The palette is now available to but in store and online at Debenhams. It costs only €46 and is limited edition so once it's gone that's it! A perfect Christmas present for the makeup junkies!
Hope you enjoyed and found this helpful if you are considering purchasing. I highly recommend you do!
