I'm heading Interrailing soon travelling through Europe for 2 weeks. I will be carrying a rucksake everywhere I go so I want to pack as minimal as possible including my makeup. This is what I am bringing with me and why I chose these products.
I'm hoping for plenty of sunshine so sunscreen is essential! I am bringing a travel size P20 factor 30 and also my Kiehls moisturiser which also has a factor 30 for the days I want to go makeup free.
Hand Sanitizer is essential as we will be travelling by train and staying in hostels so I always have some at hand
And of course a Venus travel razor... for obvious reasons! Shorts!!
The Base Products
My base makeup will be very simple as you can see. I am bringing with me my Smashbox Camera ready BB Cream. This is great as it is light and has an SPF30 so my face will be protected from the sun.
The concealer of choice is NOTE. I have been loving this lately and it is full coverage - perfect to cover the black bags from late nights and endless train journeys.
Last is my Laura Mercier Translucent Powder. I am bringing a small travel size to set my face and make sure the makeup stays put in the heat and long hours.
Just the two palettes are going in my bag. The Sleek Fair Trio as it has bronzer, blush and highlight all in one. And I like the blush colour.
And the MAC Burgundy Times 9 for my eyes. I talked about this in a recent monthly favourites (Here). So compact and so versatile!
The Finishing Touches
For brows the Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil. It is a pencil with a wand on the end to brush through my brows.
Kat Von D Ink Liner for the days I'm feeling fancy and want to add some wings or just plain liner.
And my travel size Stila Mascara... It's waterproof and amazing!
I will also be bringing my MAC Faux lipstick and Soar Lipliner but I probably won't be wearing that much lipstick!
So that's what I will be bringing with me throughout Europe. If you want to see my adventures add me on snapchat : @Katierab13 ;)
Until next time,
Welcome back to another travel blog on all things Budapest related! This city was one of the most beautiful places I have visited. The weather was amazing, and there was loads to see and do! It's all listed below!!
Just to note, Hungary use different currency, Hungarian Forint which has you dealing in 1,000s, however most restaurants accept euro and we paid with card for the majority of our stay.
Things to do...
Budapest has so many things to offer for people of all ages. I decided for this blog to leave a list of the things you can do and then talk about some of my favourites!
Budapest Thermal Springs
If you only do one thing out of the vast list about do one of the Budapest Baths!
Temperatures in Budapest can soar to over 40degrees and this is a great way to beat the heat and have some fun! The Bath we went to was the Szechenyi listed above which is an outdoor one with a pool and two thermal water baths.. In the thermal baths the water is kept at an even 38degrees and although it is warm you feel cool under the blazing heat of the sun!
It is an experience you don't want to miss!
Castle hill is also a great area to locate as it has the National Library, Art Museum and glorious views of the city and Chain Bridge. You can get a tram up for €6 and I personally think it makes the experience more enjoyable. Also walk down through the Labyrinth carved into the hills edge. It's a lot of fun trying to find your way out!
Budapest is by far one of my favourite places and I cannot wait to go back next year!
I hope you found this blog post helpful and feel free to leave any questions you may have below!
Until next time,
Today's post is going to be about all things makeup and travel.
I'm going to the away shortly for a couple of days and while I usually don't bring that much makeup on my travels this trip will require I get glam for dinners and events. Therefore I had to plan what makeup I was going to bring while still travelling light. Here is what I have decided to bring with me and reasons why I chose these products.
The Makeup Bag...
Before I started looking at any makeup, I decided what size bag I would be bringing. I wanted something that fit everything I needed, but not too big that it would take up too much space. I also wanted to have the bag fit in my handbag. I know, not fussy at all!
I purchased this super cute bag from Forever 21 a few months ago and it was time to use it. It's really good material and the perfect size to fit all my products in snug. It also has my initial on it which is an added bonus! I love it!
And that's everything I've packed for holidays. Keeping it as minimal and as practical as possible.
Until next time,
In this blog post I'm going to show you what I brought with me in my makeup bag on a recent trip to Berlin. It may seem like a lot of makeup to some people but I tried to narrow the products down! Although I could have probably went without makeup for the few days (a slim chance nonetheless) I would've felt extremely 'under dressed' going out to a nice restaurant or a bar with a bare face. Does anyone else feel the same?
Before I ramble on further, here are the products brought with me as follows:
First off can we just take a moment to appreciate this travel bag! I am in love with it. I got this in Penny's a while back and it's the perfect size to carry everything I need without being too big and bulky. And the fact there are two cute owls on it is an added bonus. Anything with owls I can't resist!
Like I said already I've tried to narrow down the makeup as much as possible only bringing what I feel is needed to complete a look. So of course to start off any makeup application I needed a foundation.
I chose to bring the Garnier BB Cream in Light. This is a great foundation/BB Cream that is matched to your skin type as well as skin tone. I have very dry skin and this product is a dream to work with. It feels incredible light, has good coverage and matches my pale skin perfectly. My current favourite at the moment.
To conceal if needed I brought the Collection Concealer in 1 Fair and to set everything in place my trusty MAC Mineralize SkinFinish in Light Plus. A product that never fails me!
For blush I took two - one to contour (NYX Taupe) and Milani - Luminoso - This blush goes with any look you can think of let it be dark smoky eyes or a deep berry lip. Perfect for any look I decide to wear.
Because it would have been impossible to take just one eye shadow and rather than have 5/6 different ones taking up way too much room, I decided to pack my Inglot Freedom System Palette which holds 12 eye shadows in a sleek and compact palette, perfect to throw in my makeup bag. As you can see this palette is much loved and the shades I chose are perfect to create both day and night looks.
The shades are as follows from left to right:
Top Row - No. 351, 341, 337, 360 and 62
Bottom Row - No. 352, 397, 107, 406, and 460
To complete the eyes I brought with me the Catrice Liquid Liner in Dating Joe Black and my much loved Dior Diorshow Iconic Mascara.
For the lips, rather than bring an array of lipsticks, I kept it to a minimum packing only two Wet n Wild Lip Liners in Chestnut and Fab Fuchsia along with my MAC Viva Glam Lip Palette which hosts 6 lip colours from red and berries to matte nudes.
I packed with me some of my favourite Real Techniques Brushes, Johnsons Baby Lotion to moisturize my skin and some Nivea Facial Cleansing Wipes to remove my makeup at the end of the day.
Lastly and to complete my travel essentials I included three hair care products.
These are the Umberto Giannini Haircare Shampoo, Conditioner and Dry Shampoo to keep the hair looking in tip top condition.
Have you used any of the products mentioned? If so what are your thoughts? Feel free to leave a comment below!
Hope you enjoyed reading this. I know it was a slightly longer blog post but these are products I would recommend if travelling as they are compact and easy to transport. And they all work wonders!
Until next time,
