It finally happened.... I have finally joined the Lush Family and made my first purchases from the amazing cruelty free brand. While in Dublin recently, strolling down Grafton Street I popped into the shop to 'have a look' with my friend Niamh and low and behold I left with a bag full of goodies! Surprise, surprise!
Mint Julips Lip Scrub
If you know me at all you will know mint is one of my favourite flavours. Let it be chocolate, ice cream or lip scrubs.... If it's got mint in it I will want it! As a result I picked up the Mint Julips Lip Scrub. Not to justify this purchase but I have been on the lookout for a lip scrub for ages. If you are a lover of liquid lipstick like I am you know how important it is to exfoliate your pout. I love the fact that all the Lush products are natural so this product was perfect (and it tastes really good!).
Rosy Cheeks Face Mask
So I 100% blame Niamh for this purchase. We went into the shop as she wanted to get a face mask for sensitive skin so the lovely young guy who helped us out placed two different masks on her hands to try out for a few minutes. The moment I smelled this, I was sold. Niamh went for the Don't Look at Me mask while I placed the Rosy Cheeks in my basket. Aside from it smelling amazing it is packed with good ingredients and is said to leave the skin with a natural 'glow from within'.
Sakura Bath Bomb
Would it really be a Lush haul without a bathbomb? I think not. I wouldn't mind but I'm not a huge fan of baths, more of a shower girl myself... however I couldn't resist getting one (or two) to try out... Who knows, I might be converted to baths! This one is one of the most popular. It has a beautiful floral scent and is inspired by the Japanese Cherry Blossom. I can't wait to try it out.
Dragon's Egg Bath Bomb
Although on appearance it doesn't look very exciting this is the one I am most eager to try! Once I was told this bathbomb is like something out of Harry Potter I knew I had to have it. Plus it smells really good too so a win win situation!
The finally item I picked up was the Charity Pot which is a hand and body mosituriser. It cost €5 for this pot and all the proceeds go to local charities in Dublin. I think it's a fantastic idea and the product itself is nice so if you have a spare few pound why not help a cause. A random act of kindness can change someone's day.
So they are the few bits I picked up. I can't wait to use the bathbombs and I'm already obsessed with the lip scrub! I will definitely be back up for more.
Have you tried any of these Lush items? Let me know what is your favourite.
Until next time.

So if you follow me on Snapchat (Katierabbettemakeup) you may have seen I went on a crazy makeup shopping spree in Dublin yesterday. I save up for weeks on end to do this every few months and not going to lie, I usually spend a fortune; But. I've worked hard and some of the items are essential for my kit. If you want to see what I picked up., keep scrolling! :)
I went to Brown Thomas on Grafton Street and I love the MAC Store there. I needed a couple of foundations for my kit so I went for my trusty Studio Fix Fluid and I got the shades NC30 and NC40.
I also picked up a travel size Storbe Cream. I love this as a primer as it adds glow to the skin. And the travel size is only €10 so it's good value too!
I also picked up two lip pencils in Beet and Chestnut. I love the MAC liners. They retail at €17 and are my favourites to use.
The whole reason I went to Brown Thomas was for the BACK TO MAC scheme they have which is trading in 6 empties (glass/plastic containers) for a free Lipstick/Lipgloss. I had been gathering empties for a while so I picked up three lipsticks and saved €60!
The shades I got where Film Noir (a deep brown), Brave (Pink Nude) and Stone (Grey Brown). I am excited to use these shades so keep an eye out for looks with them.
After Brown Thomas I headed over to the Inglot Store on St. Anne's Street to pick up the 77 eyeliner, duraline and two of the body sparkles in 71 and 49 (pictured below). As I have a Pro card I received a 20% discount which was great and the girls were lovely as always.
We stopped off in Liffey Valley on the way home for some food in TGI Friday's and I'm sure there's no surprise that a quick visit to boots was essential and in particular the YSL counter. I bought the new Top Secrets Moisturiser that can also be used as a primer. A Touché Eclat in Light 1 (The limited edition one) and a YSL lipstick no 26.
L'OREAL & NARS
The least exciting but probably most practical items I got were from MUJI which is a random shop on Chathem Street just off Grafton Street. They do all kinds of nick nacks and storage and I just picked up some slim cotton tips, and some storage containers for pigments.
So that's my Haul from yesterday's travels. Have you tried any of these things? Like I said before, I did spend a lot of money but I have been saving for a number of weeks/months to get these items. They were all bought by me, with my money so no hate! :)
I hope you enjoyed this blog post. If you'd like to see more of these hauls let me know below.
Until next time,
As seen in my previous blog post 'Mac Christmas Collection Launch Night' I had the opportunity to view the collection and also had the chance to pick up some of the goodies that were on offer before they had been officially released.
The collection is huge so I only have a few items and swatches to show, however I am really happy with the products I picked up.
Enough rambling, now onto the haul...
One of the first items I was shown and one of the items I knew I would bring home were the beautiful pigment sets. They have released three colour shades this year - Gold, Silver and Purple.
I purchased the gold and silver shades from the previous Christmas gift sets last year so when I seen the purple it was a must! The colours are so pretty and the glitter is perfect for the festive season approaching. The shades from L-R are Pink Opel, Fuchsia(Glitter), Kitschmas and Rich Purple.
The newest addition to my must haves is the new highlighter in this collection in the shade Oh, Darling. This is simple stunning! It is highly pigmented with just the right amount of gold that it is not too extreme. Great on any skin tone and can be used as an eyeshadow also. Use a damp brush they'll see you cheek bones in space! ;)
On the night all the makeup artist had this pressed pigment on their eyes and each and every look was beautiful. The colour 'Moon is Blue' looked slightly different on each girl there depending on their skin tone so I thought it was a great item to have for smokey eyes with just a hint of sparkle.
The last thing I picked up was the gorgeous lip set in the plum tones. This set came with a lip liner, lipglass and lipstick. The shades are so complimentary with any makeup look you may do. Just the right amount of punch to dress up a simple eye or subtle enough to go with the dark smokey. I love these colours so much. They are all limited edition colours so now is your only chance to add them to your collection.
All these products are available in store or on Brown Thomas website. Hope you enjoyed reading.
