After reading a post from a fellow blogger and good friend Bebhinn from A Judge Less Life last month it prompted me to see what all the hype was about Glossybox. (Check out her blog and review here: http://ajudgelesslife.blogspot.ie/ . If you follow bloggers and beauty youtubers I'm sure you would have heard of this beauty box before.
Glossybox is a subscription service you can sign up to monthly to receive 5 beauty samples (including 2 full size products) from over 150 different brands. Some of the brands include YSL, Nars, Essie, Dove, Essence, Estee Lauder etc...
The subscription cost £10 per month + P&P which works out at €18.67 per month. The great thing about Glossybox is you can opt out at any time. So if you try it for April and don't like the box/concept you don't have to subscribe for any more boxes.
What I got...
In this months box I received the following items:
NAOBAY is a brand I am new to so I was excited to try this product out. This is described as a 'organic peeling milk' that removes dead skin cells and brightens the complextion. It is a Spanish eco-friendly company. You apply this product to damp skin and gently massage in circular motions. I'm really enjoying this product so far and my skin is feeling clean and fresh since starting to use it.
This is full size (100ml) and retails at £13.71 or €18.62.
These babies are shampoo and conditioner for 'ageing hair'. This pair used together is said to repair brittle hair and make it 'sleeker, stronger and look twice as thick'. I have only used these once however I did find my hair was softer and easier to work with after use. (I have damaged hair from bleaching). And it smelled AMAZING!!!
These were sample size products. Full size is 250ml and costs £5.99 or €8.13 each.
Every girls makeup must have! I love trying out new mascaras and I was a small bit sceptical of this one considering it is only £3.30 or €4.50 to buy. Surely a mascara that inexpensive will be rubbish right? Well this mascara is incredible. I was so surprise with how good it looked!
It is up there with my Dior mascara and if I can find one with the same results and a fraction of the price it's a winner for me. I know this will definitely be a product I will repurchase again and again.
This eye shadow is a gorgeous champagne colour perfect to dust over the eyes for a shimmery day time look or used with a dark brown to create a smokey eye. The eye shadow has great pigmentation and is great for sensitive eyes as it is free from harsh chemicals and toxins that can irritate the eyes.
Available from the company website www.emitemakeup.com this eye shadow cost £14.23 or €19.32. Although I do like this shadow I cannot see myself paying nearly €20 for a single eye shadow.
I love the brand Carmex in general so I was very happy to see this in my box. This is like the original balms available only this has a slight berry tint. Great for applying to lips when in a hurry to give a soft berry sheen and also it makes your lips super soft. All a girl needs in life is soft lips, right? ;)
It retails at £4.49 or €6.10 for 2g and is available in most chemists. A most have item to through in your handbag. Soft lips at the ready!
Overall I'm extremely happy with this months Glossybox. It had a good variety of products and I will get use out of every product in this box. The final value for this box comes in at £47.71 or €64.79. Great value for the price paid. I already cannot wait for April's Glossybox to come. It's like opening a present every month. You never know what exciting treats you could get.
