Today's post is something a little different. If you are like me and love adding items to your cart, looking at the price and clicking the 'x' I thought I would share with you some of the items I am dreaming about but are way out of my budget!
Anyone that knows me knows how much I love my designer brands. My bank account won't allow me to purchase any of these brands but I made this wishlist cause someday I will get them! (Praying for a miracle or lotto win!)
My one true love! I currently have 4 designer items in my collection - My LOVED LV Neverfull MM, 2 Michael Kors beauties and a Marc Jacobs wallet. I love handbags and while some of these are ridiculously expensive, if I had the money you can be sure they would be on my arm! (Don't judge me!)
I picked up my first pair of Carvela shoes recently and I have completely fallen in love! The comfort and feel are stunning and I definitely want to get more... when I win the lotto. LOL
My favourite kind of shopping is shopping for makeup. I lust over Chanel and YSL but there are some brands like La Pairie I know I will never be able to afford... But I can dream and these are my makeup wishlist lusts!
So that's my current wishlist goodies! I'll be honest and tell you I'm already saving for the YSL bag, don't judge me... please!
I hope you enjoyed this slightly different blog post. Would you like to see more of these? Let me know

If you follow me on Instagram (@katierabbette) and snapchat (@katierab13) you would have seen I attended the Pre-Race Day Event in the Oranmore Lodge Hotel last Sunday.
The event kicked off at 1pm with a Prosecco reception and we then took our seats in their fabulous function room. There was approx. 150 in attendance and there were some stunning stalls on display including Designer Exchange (which admittedly was my favourite!)
Around 2pm, once everyone was nice and settled the first fashion show began with local boutiques showcasing some stunning occasion wear perfect for the Galway Races. We also had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Faith Amond who won best dressed at Aintree this year! What a classy lady!
There was a range of styles on display catering for women of all ages. Some of the boutiques featured were: Cari's Closet(Galway), GNine Boutique(Ennis), Olivia Danielle(Athlone), Montgomery Millinery(Mullingar), Carrig Donne, Catriona King Millinery(Galway), Elegance Boutique(Athenry) to name a few.
The models from Catwalk Agency did a fantastic job showcasing the pieces and personally, the head pieces from Montgormery Millinery were to die for!
As you can see from the above snaps, Blue appeared to be the colour of the season with some gorgeous pastels and light aqua colours. I love blue clothes so as you can imagine this made me very happy to know I am currently 'on trend'. LOL!
We had some delicious afternoon tea at the interval and then Faith Amond gave all her tips on how to win a race day. Her advice was to pick something classic and dress it up. She took a €49 white dress and transformed it into three different looks simply by using accessories! It was amazing to see how you can create something completely different by changing up a necklace or shoe.
The final part of the day was a great raffle in aid of the Oranmore Maree Rescue, a brilliant cause and there were some really good prizes up for grabs! I didn't manage to win anything but it was nice to support such a great service.
A great day ran well by all the staff at the Oranmore Lodge Hotel. If you are considering attending the galway races I highly recommend any of the boutiques from the show. You can get items from €30-€250 so don't be afraid to go into these boutiques.
As for me, I'm still dreaming of the Chanel bag the Designer Exchange had on display!! One word - WOW!
A huge thank you to Shirley (Hotel Manager) for having me and well done on such a successful event! I am already looking forward to next years show! ;)
I hope you enjoyed reading this post and hopefully got some inspiration for the Galway Races if you are attending. I highly recommend the Oranmore Lodge, the staff are great and the bar food is to die for!
Until next time,
As some of you may know if you follow my makeup page (Click here) I recently had the amazing opportunity to work for Gok Wan's Fashion Brunch in Newcastlewest last month. I was assisting the fabulous Danielle Mahon Makeup Studios with a great team of 7 other Makeup Artist.
I couldn't believe it when I received word from Danielle and immediately said YES!
Myself and my Ma went down to Limerick the Friday so it wouldn't be too much of an early start. I was only 4 weeks post surgery at this stage and probably shouldn't have been doing anything! Lol!
The day started at 6am when my alarm went off. I headed to Fashion Brunch and met the rest of the team. Allure College were also there and the owner (Joan) is from my town so it was nice to have a familiar friendly face there.
We had the opportunity to work with some amazing Irish brands such as SoSu by Suzanne Jackson(SoSueMe), Cocoa Brown tan and Fairy Wands by Joanne Larby. We also worked with Shiseido for the makeup and as you know I love the foundation. I did a recent review and you can view it here.
The fashion was all local boutiques and the Brunch showcased some stunning pieces. If you need a dress for an event there are some amazing places in Newcastlewest! ;)
The look for the Brunch was simple sexy glam and all of the models were absolutely stunning! And as for Gok, well... what an amazing man! I was quite intimidated when I first saw him but he is honestly so nice. He is an absolute character and what you see on TV is what he is like in the flesh. I was so grateful to work for him.
It was an absolutely incredible opportunity and I can't thank Danielle enough for even considering me to assist her. All the girls I worked with were so nice and we all worked so well together.
Lastly thank you to you, reading this now. I would not have half as many opportunities if it wasn't for your continued support and I do really appreciate it, more than I can ever express.
Until next time,
So the weather is slowly starting to pick up and this calls for the summer clothes to begin to show! If you are anyway like me the summer clothes from last season are hid away in the archives of your wardrobe and it calls for only one thing - A new summer dress!
You want something that is light material and flattering and flowing and I think I found you guys the perfect one!
Check out this beautiful girly dress from Vero Moda.
It is available now in store in Athlone Town Centre in an all white or denim blue colour and sizes range from XS-XL.
I personally love how this dress is fitted on the top and then flows out as you can see in the pictures below. It is a light cotton material making it super comfy and cool when the weather is warm but also not too light to wear when it's that bit cooler in the evenings.
The sown pattern at the bottom of the dress adds a really elegant touch and in my opinion you don't need jewelry with this dress as it is a feature in itself. I also love the added feature of the button up back. Paired with a white cardigan it is a great day look.
Whether it be the white or denim blue this dress is feminine and flattering and super comfy! I am obsessed with it!! I'm a UK Size 16 and the XL fits me perfectly, so for all my curvy ladies go into Vero Moda and don't be afraid to try things on! Had I not, I wouldn't have found this dress!
Check out Vero Moda Athlone's Facebook page for some great offers on summer style. (Click Here for more info).
Hope you enjoyed reading. What do you think of the dress? Let me know below!
