The hottest palette has finally been released today. Here is a look at the Naked Petite Heat palette in all it's fiery glory!
This eyeshadow palette comes with six NEW shades of warm toned burnt oranges and browns. It can be used in conjunction with the Naked Heat Palette or on it's own to create some beautiful smokey looks. This palette would work extremely well with blue eyes in particular.
The packaging is stunning! I mean, just look at it! The size of this palette is super travel friendly and also perfect for on the go as it is compact and comes with a nice sized mirror.
There are 6 shades in total - 5 matte and 1 demi matte and they are the typical quality of the Urban Decay eyeshadows. Creamy, blendable and super pigmented.
The colours are as follows:
Inhale - the one demi matte in the palette. A bright cream with a hint of gold sheen.
Vibrate - a soft nude, perfect for blending out colours in the crease.
Hot Spell - a gorgeous terra cotta matte.
Wild Thing - my favourite shade in the palette, a scorched orange matte.
Heist - Cayenne pepper in an eyeshadow!
Strike - the perfect red brown to add smokiness to any look.
This palette is available now from the Urban Decay Boutique store on Grafton Street, online and instore at Debenhams and House of Fraser, Dundrum.
It is retailing for €32.
Hope you enjoyed this quick post on this gorgeous palette. Will you be treating yourself to it?
Until next time,
In today's post I am going to show you all the new Urban Decay Boutique has to offer. I was invited by the lovely Roisin to attend a masterclass with Danielle Roberts last week and take a look at the new store at 50 Grafton Street.
First off the location of the boutique is brilliant. It is at the top of Grafton Street right across from St Stephen's Green Shopping Centre. You can't miss it with it's signature UD Purple facade.
Urban Decay are one of my favourite brands as you can probably tell from previous posts so I was really excited when I heard about the Boutique opening. It did not disappoint! The store is nice and spacious and the makeup displays are gorgeous.
I must have spent a solid 30 minutes looking at all the Vice Lipsticks on display!
There are four makeup stations down stairs with built in selfie holders so you can record your makeup application on your phone. And if you are worried about not having enough battery to do so; simply plug your phone in at the station! Such a genius idea!
The boutique has every product you can imagine but it also has some exclusives you can only get in store. These include a palette called Afterdark. It is stunning! Similar to the Moondust palette with even more beautiful colours. I will definitely be calling in to purchase!
There is also a beautiful Naked Collection Blush/Bronzer in Fireball, the amazing Vetizer Powder and Liquid Aura drops which Danielle showcased in her masterclass. We asked her out of all the products used what would be on her 'must have list' first and she said without doubt the Aura drops.
You can mix these into foundation to give your skin some dewy, healthy glow. Also the Illuminated Blush was a personal favourite of mine! Perfect for the drapping trend at the minute!
Upstairs there is the Urban Decay Lounge with six makeup stations and a giant shadow wall! This space can be booked for private parties and it is perfect for hen's or birthdays. There is also cool gadgets including a selfie mirror where you can email your makeovers or display them on the UD TVs!
Overall I was extremely impressed with the setup of the Boutique. It is spacious, beautiful and the UD Lounge is brilliant offering a private space for any special occasion!
I want to thank Roisin for inviting me to check out the store and also for a few goodies that are being put to use! Stay tuned for thoughts on some of the new products!
If you are in the area definitely call in to have a look, you will agree with me when I say it is AMAZING! I am already planning my next trip up to get the Naked Heat Palette! Who else is excited for this launch?
Hope you've enjoyed reading this post! Let me know if you've been to the new store. I've left a gallery of photos below for you to check out! ;)
Until next time,
Today's post is taking a look at the Sculpted Palette by Amiee Connolly. For those of you who don't know who Amiee is she is a Irish makeup artist who writes a beauty column for the Sunday World and has also been featured many times on TV3's Xposé. She release this palette along with a brush last year and I am finally putting it under review. So let's get to it.
The Sculpting & Highlighting Brush
The brush (that is sold seperately for €12.95) is a duel ended brush to use with the shades in the palette both for contouring and highlighting. The quality of the brush itself is nice for the price point. The hair is super soft so it feels nice on the skin and the size of both brushes are perfect for their duties. The bigger side is perfect for blending out bronzer while still giving precision for contouring. The highlight brush is also nice and is tapered so you can apply highlight where needed with ease. I am impressed with this brush and have been using it since receiving these products a couple of weeks ago.
Sculpted Highlight & Shader Set
Overall I like this product. The packaging is sleek and compact and there is a big mirror so you can use it on the go. It retails for €24.95 so it's not super expensive and the shades are very universally pleasing.
The bronzer is a beautiful sun kissed golden brown that is perfect if you have a slight tan. The colour payoff is good so you don't need to use a lot of product, There is a slight bit of 'kickback'* so I would recommend tapping off some of the excess product before applying it to the hallows of the cheeks.
The Golden Sheen is STUNNING! I am obsessed with is as both a highlight and an eyeshadow. It is a beautiful gold shimmer and just so so pretty. This has hardly any fallout but it is very shimmery so if you are not into that blinding highlight you might think it is a bit much. I, however, love it and again, with a tan is just looks amazing!
The cream shade - champagne cream, compared to the other two is more subtle. It is a cream so it can be used as a base for Golden Sheen but it is also nice on it's own for a dewy finish to the cheekbones. I would use this on days I want a very soft highlight. It leaves a very healthy, natural glow on the skin and would be perfect for any brides to be out there.
Overall I think both the palette and the brush are well made and I would recommend them if you wanted natural, easy way to contour and highlight. The Golden Shade is one of my favourites at the minute. It is just beautiful. This product has been added to my professional kit so that will tell you how highly I rate it.
There is a full stockist on Amiee's website here.
Hope you enjoyed this post! Have you tried this palette yet? What are your thoughts? Let me know in a comment.
Until next time,
I did receive this product at a PR event but as always all opinions are 100% honest.
Cue the cliché..... Where has them 5 months gone! I can't believe we are now in June and half the year is almost over! Anyway, today I'm talking about my May beauty favs. Products I've been using the past month which include some olden goldies and new finds... You know the drill at this stage, now enough waffling. Here are my May Favourites!
Chanel Universal Bronze
Not going to talk too much about this as I have a dedicated blog post here. In a nutshell... I'm obsessed!
MAC Burgundy Times 9 Palette
I remember when I first got this palette way back last year it was the only thing I used for a really long time. I then went away from it and it was thrown in the back of the drawer and forgotten about. That was until two weeks ago when I picked it back up and started to use it again.
I love these palettes as they are compact and the colours are right up my alley.
UD x Jean Michel Basquait Eyeliners
First off this whole collection is beautiful but I love these two eyeliners from the new Urban Decay x Jean Michel Basquait collaboration. The colours are so different and unusual but really beautiful. I particularily love the acid green liner (Post Punk). The brick red (Anatomy) is also stunning, I've been alternating between the two with every look I've been creating recently. They retail for €20 from Debenhams.
Lancome Cream Cushion Blush
This little pot of magic is BEAUTIFUL. This is the shade Je M'appelle Rose and while it is branded as a cream blush it is more a highligher in my opinion. It is a stunning rose gold and I have been using this on all my clients to leave their skin looking healthy and glowing.
I did receive this at a press day recently and I have not put it down since. The texture is so unique I'm not sure how to describe it. It's one of those you will just have to swatch and see how gorgeous it is for yourself.
Laura Mercier Translucent Powder
It is worth the hype! The powder is so finely milled it just leaves the skin looking airbrushed. All my other setting powders have become obsolete since getting this.
Inglot Pigments & Brush
Since Inglot has come to Athlone it is alot more accessible for a lot of people in the Midlands - myself included. I recently picked up the 67 pigment which is a rose colour and the 54 body sparkle. The two of these combined make for the prettiest eye look. Obsessed!
I also picked up the new 38SS brush. I am loving this for foundation at the minute. I prefer a smaller brush when applying foundation so I can really work it into the skin and this brush is the perfect size.
MAC Faux Lipstick
A cult favourite and now one of my favourites. It is just the 'your lips but better' colour for me. I love it so much it is constantly in my handbag and no one else is allowed use it!
Duo Latex Free Glue
I feel eyelash glue is extremely underrated. It's one of them products that you forget about and yet it's a key in any makeup look. I love this one because it's latex free for anyone that is sensitive and I also love that it has a brush applicator which makes it so easy to get an even layer of glue on your false lashes!
So that's my favourites for the month of May. The eyeshadow palette has been my favourite find because I genuinely forgot how obsessed I was with it!
What are your favourite products at the moment? Let me know!
