In today's blog post I'm going to talk about a few products I've picked up from the brand Cailyn. This is a relatively new Irish brand that provides top quality, cruelty free makeup products. It is on the higher end price wise ranging from €15-€50 however, the products are really lovely and the packaging is clean and elegant. I picked up a few items from Lisa Finlay totalhealth Pharmacy in Tullamore, Offaly.
O! Wow Brush
On entering the chemist the first thing that caught my eye in the display was the O!Wow Brush. I have heard numerous people rave about how good it applies foundation and I was eager to try it myself.
It did not disappoint. This brush is like magic! I was able to blend out my foundation effortlessly and it looked so natural on the skin. Had I not seen it myself I would have said it was witchcraft! :) The brush is expensive costing €30 but it is an investment into flawless looking skin.
BB Fluid Touch Compact
The concept of this BB Cream Compact is revolutionary. The product comes in a pump action compact that allows just the right amount of cream to come out so you don't waste any of it. It is a moisture rich BB with brighten and concealing properties to leave the skin looking fresh and flawless. It comes in 6 shades ranging from pale (Porcelain) to dark (Maple). The initial price for this is €30 with refills of the BB Cream costing €23. This compact would be super handy for travelling and is a really nice everyday foundation.
For anyone that is big into brows you will really enjoy this product. It is a gel formula which is hard enough to get precision in the brows while being soft enough to used and blend. It gives a very natural brow look. Available in 8 shades it offers the perfect brow colours. It retails at €20 and comes with a built in brow brush.
Gel Eye Shadow Pencil
I only picked up one of these and I will definitely be going back for more! This is a gel eye shadow that sets which helps make an effortless smokey, shimmery, sparkly eye. It is stunning. These remind me of the Kiko eye sticks. The shade I picked up was 'Mink' and it is a beautiful bronze shimmer. They are super easy to blend. I like to use these type of products as base /primers to add and intensify eye shadows. They cost €17.50 each and come in a range of gorgeous colours.
Overall I am extremely impressed with the products I picked up and I will definitely be going back for more.
